Pharmacy Technician Program Application
Gifted Hands Academy offers a comprehensive Pharmacy Technician Program, designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills needed to excel in diverse pharmacy environments. The program encompasses a total of 96 didactic hours, meticulously structured to lay a solid foundation for aspiring pharmacy technicians.
The program spans 12 weeks, with sessions held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm. Of the total 96 hours, 80 are dedicated to clinical practice, providing hands-on experience crucial for real-world application.
Pharmacy Technician Math Readiness Assessment
All applicants to the Gifted Hands Academy Pharmacy Technician Program are required to complete a 15-question Math Readiness Assessment after submitting their program application.
The assessment covers foundational skills used in pharmacy calculations, including:
* Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
* Fractions, decimals, and percentages
* Basic measurement and metric conversions
The assessment is completed in person under staff supervision. A calculator will be provided, and cellphones may not be used during testing.
This assessment helps Gifted Hands Academy determine whether an applicant has the foundational math skills needed to begin the Pharmacy Technician Program successfully.
