Certified Phlebotomy Program

Welcome to our Phlebotomy Certification Program. Located in Northwest Indiana that offers a chance for residents in residing areas to participate in hands-on learning and attend a school that is offering an opportunity to work toward building a rewarding career in the healthcare field. Small intimate class settings with hands on learning, 2 facilitators, and course work will prepare you for the workforce.

Gifted Hands Academy. Allied Health school offers a Certified Phlebotomy Program that is designed to teach knowledge in technical, procedural and practical aspects of phlebotomy. In a small classroom setting, instructors will teach hands-on practice of operating as a certified phlebotomist. This program will teach students based on the following concepts: Introduction to Phlebotomy, Legal aspects of Phlebotomy, Professional Ethics, Human Relations Training, Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Phlebotomy Techniques, Infection Control, Clinical and Lab Procedures, Sterilization Techniques, Blood Borne Pathogens, Proper Venipuncture Techniques, Capillary Collections, Urinalysis, Specimen Transportation, and Special Procedures. This program will also provide an 8-hour certification training in CPR /BLS for healthcare professionals.

This program is designed for individuals who want to advance their career in health care and for individuals looking to launch a new career. This is a comprehensive 64-hour program. The breakdown is as follows: 40 hours of classroom instruction, 16 hours of onsite clinical training and 8 hours of American Red Cross CPR/BLS for healthcare workers certification.
